YOUR ROCK ‘N’ ROLL SPIRIT GUIDES.

meet The CREW.

The heart and soul of Chiron Rock School are undoubtedly the rock 'n' roll spirit guides we call our teachers. A crew of exceptional individuals who, when they aren't teaching, are routinely rolling the rock 'n' roll dice and getting double sixes on the stage and in the studio with their own musical endeavours.

We understand that if a young person is to be held captivated at an after-school lesson and gets the most out of their time/money, the teacher had better be darn good. So, we've done our darndest to find the most inspiring humans, who are passionate about music, set them up in purpose-built isolated studios decked out with quality gear and given them the keys to the rock 'n' roller coaster.

Our teachers care about the next generation of rockers, and they want to see the future of music left in good hands. So read on and meet the faces that will help our next-gen reach their rock 'n' roll goals.

Max Earnshaw.

Max grew up in the Garden City - Christchurch, and started the tried-and-true way of honing his craft by hitting the streets and busking. It’s through this cutthroat world that Max learned how to captivate his audience, deal with hecklers, and sing above the clatter. Completing his Bachelor of Music in Auckland opened Max up to a whole new world of like-minded musicians, and as a keen collaborator, there are always a few new projects on the go.

He’s actively releasing pop-rock earworms under his own name and keeping the groove locked in for multiple Auckland bands.

Max’s seven years of teaching experience is also varied and includes mentoring for Smokefree Rockquest, teaching at Auckland University and mentoring young bands and musicians. All this makes him such a versatile asset here at CRS. Max inspires his students to listen, jam and enjoy the ride of their musical journey.

Max has recently taken the reins as the CRS coordinator and is passionate about creating opportunities in the form of epic programmes and concerts for our young rockers.

GEORGE MANNING.

Hailing from our local suburb of Mt Eden, George has filled many shoes as a session musician, writer, recording artist and performer. Starting piano and guitar before leaving primary school, he has used his musical knowledge and skill in various competitions, concerts and tours around the country. George made his performing debut overseas, completing a makeshift tour of small English venues and finding his rhythm there.

After returning to New Zealand, he started his degree and quickly began performing and collaborating with other up-and-coming artists.

George has released two singles under ‘Montgomery’ and has some exciting music in the works. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open!

George is a ray of encouragement for his students across the many instruments he plays, and his passion for music is clear!
