PLEASE READ OUR TERMS & CONDITIONS.

FEES.

Fees are charged on a 'per term' basis and must be paid prior to the first lesson of the term or within seven days of invoice.

Fees can be paid by Internet banking, credit card, Eftpos, or cash at 311 Manukau Road, Epsom.

Bank account details: Chiron Rock School (Tonic Music Ltd) 12-3678-0010978-00

When making payment, please include:

Invoice number (you will find this on your emailed invoice)

Student's name

We offer a 5% discount on your fees when more than one person in your family is scheduled for music lessons at Chiron Rock School. This discount also applies where a student has been scheduled for more than one lesson per week. If you are entitled to the discount, your invoice will reflect it. Please note that in the event of late payment, the discount will be discontinued. Unfortunately, we cannot offer discounts for family members who receive lessons outside of Chiron Rock School (e.g. Lewis Eady Music School, Chiron Music Academy).

On overdue invoices, a late payment fee of $25 will be added. If necessary, lessons may be suspended or cancelled by us, and recovery costs of any overdue amount are charged to you. Lessons missed due to late payment of term fees are not refundable.

CONFIRMING LESSON DAYS/TIMES.

Once a lesson timeslot is reserved for you, it becomes unavailable to other customers.

Please make sure your lesson day and time will work for you before your timeslot is reserved.

There is a four weeks' notice of cancellation period that applies to all lesson bookings.

There are no replacement lessons or credits for lessons you may miss due to illness or family holidays.

WITHDRAWAL FROM LESSONS.

Your booking for rock lessons is yours until you tell us in writing (email enrol@chironrockschool.co.nz) that you no longer require lessons.

Please note that you will be invited to re-enrol at the end of each year.

We require four weeks' notice if you intend to withdraw from lessons. If insufficient notice is given, you will still be charged the four-week cancellation period.

Notification of cancellation must be made to the Chiron Rock School Admin Office by emailing enrol@chironrockschool.co.nz - not via music teachers or other Chiron staff members.

Should a change in lesson day/time be required by us (due to unforeseen circumstances), you will be contacted by our admin team with details and options.

TEACHING MATERIALS

If required - books, instruments, strings, etc., is an additional charge and not included in the term fees. A team member will contact you with details of any requirements that best suits your tween’s/teen’s learning style.

All purchases made at our retail store will receive a 5% Rock School discount.

Due to copyright law, we are unable to photocopy printed material.

GENERAL.

Payment: Please do not give payment for your term fees to your teacher. Our teachers are not permitted to receive these payments.

Teachers: We cannot guarantee that your child will be allocated to the same teacher every term/year or the teacher of their choice. We reserve the right to provide a relieving teacher where necessary.

Missed lessons or absences: If our teacher cannot teach, e.g. illness, then we will provide a relieving teacher to teach that lesson. If we cannot provide a relieving teacher, we will advise on the day of the lesson cancellation, and a credit will be applied to your account for the missed lesson. We cannot provide credit if you miss your lesson for any other reason.

From time to time, we will forward you information about our upcoming events and retail promotions at Chiron Rock School and Lewis Eady by text message or email. If you do not wish to receive the information, reply "stop" to no longer receive the promotional material.

HOLIDAY PROGRAMMES.

Please note all holiday programmes are subject to sufficient enrolments being received.

Places will be allocated in the order they are received.

We will confirm enrolment once payment has been received.

ONLINE LESSONS (via Skype).

The Skype lesson is only available to be utilised between the music teacher and the intended student per the contracted lesson arrangement with the lesson provider.

Your usual term or lesson fee covers your Skype lesson. We cannot provide credits for missed or unattended Skype lessons.

All views expressed in Skype lessons are strict of that teacher's personal opinions.

To ensure optimum lesson experience, please make sure you are in a quiet space with minimal disruptions. Supervision from a parent or adult caregiver throughout the lesson is essential for unexpected issues (i.e. WiFi connection, incorrect camera angle). We cannot provide refunds for discontinued or disrupted lessons due to connection issues from the students' end.

Teachers will call students via Skype at their designated lesson time unless otherwise specified.

All students agree not to record (audio and/or visual) these Skype lessons in any way.

All students under the age of 13 must operate Skype strictly under the supervision of their parents or caregivers. Skype has several security measures in place to help protect children who have appropriate parental permissions to use Skype from being contacted by strangers online - read the complete list here. For more tips on staying safe online, please visit Netsafe.

Please note that our usual terms and conditions apply during this period - including four weeks' notice of cancellation.
